Keep your voice at the center of the draft.

Accend helps writers shape rough ideas, tighten sentences, and move through drafts without handing the page over.

Our philosophy

A digital atelier for people who care how the work gets made.

Most AI tools are built to replace you. Accend is built to sit beside you. Quiet, private, and tuned to your voice.

Human-first

Tools that make you a better writer, not a redundant one. Every Accend product is built to amplify your judgment, not stand in for it.

Privacy-first

Your drafts never train a model and never sit on someone else's server. We default to local processing and refuse to monetize your words.

Local-first

Built on Apple Intelligence and on-device inference wherever possible. Your work belongs on your machine, where it's fastest and safest.

Our products

Quiet tools, made with intent.

About

We’re building the AI tools we wished existed.

Accend started from a small frustration: the AI products built for writers in 2024 and 2025 mostly seemed designed to make writers unnecessary. Type a prompt, watch a generic essay appear, ship it. The tools were impressive, and the work was hollow.

We think there’s a better way to use this technology. Instead of standing in for a writer, AI can sit next to one. Quiet, attentive, and tuned to the person at the keyboard. It can help with the parts of the craft that aren’t actually craft: chasing a stray fact, untangling a clumsy sentence, remembering what a source said three chapters ago.

That’s the kind of AI we’re building. Local-first when it can be, private always, and stubbornly committed to keeping the writer at the center of the work.

What we won’t do

Four promises that shape every decision.

We will not train on your work.

Your drafts are yours. We don't fine-tune models on customer manuscripts, and we don't store them on our servers to begin with.

We default to local.

On-device processing isn't a feature flag. It's the path. We only reach for the cloud when local isn't enough, and we tell you when we do.

We will not build to replace you.

Every feature has to answer: does this make a writer better, or does it make the writer optional? We only ship the first kind.

We will charge for the product, not the user.

Accend is funded by people who pay for it. No ads, no data resale, no hidden enterprise tier where the real product lives.
